His Scalp Bumps Started at 13 | John’s AKN Story

John remembers life before the bumps as normal. Then, around age 13 or 14, small scalp bumps appeared. He says they stayed smaller for about 10 years before becoming much larger over the following 5 or 6 years, as other scalp conditions appeared too. His case involved acne keloidalis nuchae (AKN), dissecting cellulitis of the scalp, and cutis verticis gyrata (CVG). This is one patient’s experience. Not medical advice.
