When Acne Keloidalis Nuchae Meets Dissecting Cellulitis, Part 1 | John’s Story

John’s case required careful evaluation before intervention. Although acne keloidalis nuchae was evident, further assessment revealed coexisting dissecting cellulitis. This overlap is uncommon, but it has important implications for treatment. Proceeding with targeted removal allowed us to address the inflammatory source directly while preserving natural anatomy. Recognizing this combination early helps prevent incomplete treatment and supports better long term control. This chapter explains why identifying overlapping follicular disorders matters, and how that understanding guides surgical decision making. #AcneKeloidalisNuchae #DissectingCellulitis #CutisVerticisGyrata #deepinflammationunderscalp #longtermtreatmentforscalpcysts Dr. Umar Hair & Skin Clinic located in Manhattan Beach, CA
